Französischer Dom on Gendarmenmarkt

Sustainability at the Französischer Dom

The 360-degree panoramic platform and the Hugo & Notte restaurant at the Französischer Dom, as part of the BESONDERE ORTE group, are firmly committed to comprehensive sustainability measures. For 25 years, the company has played a pioneering role in the field of sustainable venues and events.

The facilities at the French Cathedral benefit from environmentally conscious corporate management, which began a quarter of a century ago with the switch to 100% electricity from renewable sources and the provision of organic juices and fair-trade coffee. They were the first venues in Germany to receive the demanding EMAS certification for their environmental management system.

BESONDERE ORTE is setting new standards as the first company in the events industry to report in accordance with the German Sustainability Code and to qualify as a Sustainable Partner Berlin. Whether visiting the panoramic viewing platform or dining at the Hugo & Notte restaurant, guests not only experience a special venue, but also support a company that successfully combines environmental, social and economic considerations.
