Houserules of the Französischer Dom (French Cathedral)
1. These house rules apply to the viewing platform of the Französischer Dom (French Cathedral) and the associated areas (circular, staircase, sanitary facilities). All individuals present in these areas are subject to these house rules. The staff of the viewing platform of the Französischer Dom (French Cathedral), particularly the ticket office staff, are responsible for enforcing these rules.
2. Tickets grant a one-time entry to the viewing platform of the Französischer Dom (French Cathedral) during the published opening hours or the time period specified on the online ticket, for a duration of 30 minutes. Guests who have booked a time slot online are required to arrive on time for their reserved time slot. If you arrive late, your time on the viewing platform may be shortened accordingly. By purchasing a ticket, the general terms and conditions as well as the house rules of the Französischer Dom (French Cathedral) viewing platform are accepted. Upon leaving the premises, tickets become invalid. If leaving the viewing platform temporarily is necessary, this must be arranged individually with the ticket office staff. The purchase of tickets can be refused.
Certain conditions apply for the issuance of free or discounted tickets, proof of which must be provided at the ticket office. Fees paid for guided tours are non-refundable in case of non-participation, the same applies to fees for events, regular tickets, and online tickets. Tickets for admission and guided tours are transferable.
Events may be filmed or photographed for documentation and commercial purposes. Individual or multiple guests may appear in this footage. Such photos or video recordings may also be taken during regular visits. By purchasing a ticket or entering the event/the viewing platform, guests consent to the publication of these photos or videos (including for promotional purposes of the viewing platform of the Französischer Dom (French Cathedral), e.g., on our website or on social media). 3. All instructions from the staff must be followed.
4. Climbing over barriers is prohibited.
5. Photography and filming are permitted only for personal use under the free use of works law and may not be used for direct or indirect commercial purposes unless otherwise revoked.
6. Consumption of food and beverages is prohibited.
7. Smoking is not allowed. Additionally, the current fire safety regulations apply.
8. Pets are not permitted in the Französischer Dom (French Cathedral) or on the viewing platform, except for guide dogs and therapy dogs (proof of disability must be presented upon request).
9. Bringing dangerous substances or weapons is prohibited. The security and supervisory staff are authorized to randomly check the contents of bags.
10. Emergency exits may only be used in case of emergency. All passageways, escape routes, and exits must remain unobstructed. Furnishings may not be moved from their designated places.
11. In the event of a fire alarm, all instructions from the staff of the Französischer Dom (French Cathedral) viewing platform must be strictly followed. The building must be exited via the nearest route. Elevators must not be used.
12. Between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, the carillon (bell chime) of the Dom (Cathedral) rings hourly (except at 2:00 PM). On Sundays, it also rings at 9:25 AM and 10:55 AM. Staying in the Dom during these times is at your own risk regarding noise levels. Please use headphones if you are sensitive to loud sounds.
13. Visitors are liable for all damages and consequential damages to the building, as well as fixed and movable property, caused by them. Damage resulting from non-compliance with the house rules and safety regulations will be subject to full personal liability. Adolescents aged 14 and older may access the viewing platform without accompaniment. An identification document must be presented.
Parents are liable for breaches of supervision regarding their children. For children's and school groups, the supervising adult is responsible.
14. The staff has the right to expel visitors from the premises and impose a permanent ban in cases of serious violations of these house rules or any inappropriate behavior. In such cases, there is no entitlement to a refund of the admission fee.
